Wall bushing for HVDC converter stations

  • Dimensioned to meet customer requirements
  • Optimized bushing size
  • Lowest possible building costs

For high-voltage DC transmission systems, we offer special HVDC-DC and -DCAC wall bushings designed for outdoor/indoor or indoor/indoor – depending on the application and design.

These bushings, calculated and designed according to individual requirements, are offered dry-insulated or gas-insulated.

Up to approx. 550 kV, this design can be manufactured with dry filling. Look for the small “t” in the designation. Above this voltage value, the secondary insulation is currently still manufactured with SF6 filling. Gas pressure monitoring is necessary to ensure that the required positive pressure is applied. For this purpose, we supply the necessary monitoring device. Connection lines of various lengths are available to connect the monitoring device to the wall bushing.

The installation angle and the number of current transformers have a major influence on the flange length.

If current transformers are used, we need to know how many, and on which side they are to be mounted. In order to design the wall bushing, we need you to supply the dimension sheets or the space requirement.

The current transformers can also be purchased from us and supplied mounted on the bushing.

All bushings are designed to the IEC/IEEE standard 65700-19-03 and are tested accordingly. Bushings meeting other country requirements are available on request.
