The STARIS-Sia + is our standard IEEE bushing for 25 to 230 kV in RIS and a rated current of up to 3000A. It is an oil-free transformer bushing with a solid active part made of resin-impregnated synthetic fleece and a capacitor control. The air-side housing is a silicone composite insulator.

The STARIS-Sia + fully complies with IEEE C57.19.01 in terms of properties and dimensions and is tested in accordance with IEEE C57.19.00.

Extensive thermal cycle test

STARIS-Sia+ 245- 800 E3 bushings tested in an external climate chamber at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)

  • Thermal cycles in the range: -60 to +50°C / 5 cycles over 460 hours
  • Applied voltage of 196 kV acc. to IEC 60137 (80% of Um)
  • Applied static load: 2500 N; 85% of specified cantilever operating load
  • Applied dynamic load: 2500 N / 30,000 load cycles; 81% of specified cantilever operating load
  • Capacitance, dissipation factor and PD measured twice per cycle (Tmin / Tmax)
  • Final testing at HSP factory
